We fertilize our lawns, landscapes, and gardens to provide the macronutrients (macros) that are not provided by the natural soil processes. Macros, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, are needed in relatively large amounts and can be found in a variety of fertilizer options, such as those found right here on our site. However, to reach your soil's most optimal health, micronutrients (often referred to as micros or minors) are also required.
Iron, manganese, zinc, copper, and boron are the primary micros we typically track for lawns. You can see in the photo below that this bio-stimulant contains quite a few micros, hence the name MicroGreene!
The best way to know for sure what macronutrients and micronutrients your specific lawn needs, is to complete a soil test. Think of it like giving blood at the doctor's office to see what vitamins you may be deficient in. It's like a blood test for your soil and it's easy peasy to do! You can click here for more information and to order your soil test today.
