Greene County has an induction seal on each of its bottles. These seals are designed to vent gas buildup during the shipping process. Think of it as a one-way valve for air to escape.
This image is a picture of a bottle at the warehouse before it was shipped:
The venting process is there to allow for any air pressure inside the bottle to escape freely. At times, the air can bring a little liquid along for the ride. The bottles are overfilled to account for this possibility. This can result in a slight bit of product escaping, but not damaging the bottle, such as in the pictures below:
*Please note that the box can make the leak look worse than it is. Here is an example of a venting leak that looks much worse due to the way the product spread through the cardboard. However, once measured the customer did receive the entire gallon's worth of product.
We do strive to have each of our products delivered 100% undamaged, however, a small amount of product drip is possible with this vented seal.
You are always welcome to submit a request for an investigation and our customer care team will be happy to assist you. Each claim will be subject to evaluation.
Depending on the severity, damaged orders may receive one of the following:
-
- No further action required- slight venting
- Discount - more significant venting
- Comparable replacement / Refund - box and seal compromised
If your package has been delivered damaged, please click on the "Report Issue" button below. This will take you to our damage submission page where you can share with us a short video of the box, label, and item(s) that were damaged.
