Kentucky Bluegrass (KBG) and perennial ryegrass require lower annual application rates of Prodiamine compared to warm-season grasses and turf-type tall fescue. This is because the product label specifies reduced rates for these cool-season grasses. Lawns in southern regions or the transition zone, where warm-season grasses thrive, can use higher application rates due to longer growing seasons.
If your lawn is a blend of Kentucky Bluegrass, ryegrass, and tall fescue, you have the flexibility to use the higher application rates recommended for tall fescue if you feel your lawn needs extra protection.
