Wondering if a cold snap will reduce the effectiveness of your pre-emergent (Prodiamine/Dithiopyr) herbicide? If you’ve already applied Prodiamine and watered it in properly, there’s no need to worry. Temperature drops or cold weather after application will not impact the performance of your pre-emergent. As long as the product has been watered into the soil, it will continue to provide effective weed prevention, regardless of post-application weather changes.
